Character Breakfast to Help Raise Funds for WHHS DECA

The 4th annual White House High School DECA Character Breakfast is just around the corner, to be held Saturday, February 24 in the school’s main building cafeteria.

Each $7 ticket buys a plate of pancakes, sausage, and choice of drink but most importantly, a chance to meet Tinkerbelle, Belle, Snow White, Spiderman, Elsa, Aurora and more!

Attendees can sign up for one of three time slots: 8-9 a.m., 9-10 a.m., or 10-11 a.m.

“The kids love it. Our students love it. And the parents love it, too!” says Kaylor Elrod, DECA Advisor. ”It’s also a great fundraiser for us.”

All proceeds from the breakfast will go toward the fees for the 45 club members attending the state DECA competition in Chattanooga later this month.

“I feel like it’s super important for kids to have opportunities like the state competition,” says Kaylor. “For a lot of them, it's their first time away from home without their parents.

Historically, the character breakfast raises about $75 of each club participant’s $350 cost for the state competition. If the students win in Chattanooga, they have an opportunity to travel to California for nationals.

Tickets can be purchased here on the Blue Devil Marketplace.
