City of Springfield presents 1st Fridays

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. — The City of Springfield is excited to announce the return of its annual 1st Fridays event series on May 3 to downtown Springfield. 1st Fridays takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of each month from May through October.

The community is invited to stroll through the Historic Downtown Springfield and enjoy an evening of shopping, dining, and live music. This free, family event series features food trucks, a kids’ zone, provided by Grace Baptist Church and the Robertson County Family YMCA, specialty vehicle cruise-in, and 80+ local vendors including farmers, artists, makers, bakers, crafters, boutiques, local businesses, and downtown merchants.

Live music featuring The Dog Soldiers, a local four-piece band known for their foot-stomping 70's rock and blues covers, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and their dancing shoes to enjoy the sounds of summer.
