History is stepping off the pages and coming to life this October in Ridgetop, Tennessee. From October 24–26, Ridgetop Station Park will transform into a vibrant scene from the past during a 3-day Living History event, hosted in partnership with the City of Ridgetop.
This immersive celebration invites visitors to walk through time and experience history in a whole new way — with interactive demonstrations, expert speakers, and hands-on educational exhibits for all ages.
Led by seasoned historical reenactors, the event will feature captivating presentations on Civil War medicine, period music, blacksmithing, infantry and artillery, and even portrayals of legendary figures like Abraham Lincoln. Guests can explore authentic camp life setups and view relics from Tennessee battlegrounds, all while gaining a deeper appreciation for the stories that shaped our region.
Friday kicks off with “School Day,” a special, free educational experience designed for students from local schools, academies, and homeschool groups. With 12 interactive learning stations, young visitors will get the chance to connect with history in a way that’s both fun and unforgettable.
Whether you’re a lifelong history buff or simply looking for a unique fall outing, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Come experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the past — brought vividly to life right here in Middle Tennessee.
