There's something special about a neighborhood lemonade stand. This July, those simple cups of lemonade will represent something even sweeter—hope for children entering foster care.
From July 17-19, community members across Robertson County will once again participate in the annual Isaiah 117 House Lemonade Stand Weekend, a nationwide fundraiser that helps provide comfort, care, and compassion for children during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
What began in 2017 with just a handful of lemonade stands in Elizabethton, Tennessee, has grown into a nationwide tradition. Today, communities across the country host lemonade stands to raise awareness and financial support for their local Isaiah 117 House, with every dollar raised staying within the local community.
Throughout the weekend, local families, businesses, churches, and volunteers will be hosting lemonade stands across Robertson County, giving residents an easy way to support a meaningful cause while enjoying a refreshing summer treat.
"Lemonade Stand Weekend is a simple but powerful way for our community to come together and make a difference for children entering foster care," said Ronda Paulson, founder and executive director of Isaiah 117 House. "Every cup of lemonade represents hope and support for children during a difficult transition. We invite everyone to participate, whether by hosting a stand, visiting one, or simply helping us spread the word."

Isaiah 117 House exists to change the way foster care begins. When children are removed from their homes, they often experience fear, uncertainty, and trauma. In communities without an Isaiah 117 House, many children must wait in child welfare offices until a foster placement is found.
Instead, Isaiah 117 House provides a welcoming home where children can receive clean clothes, a warm meal, a safe place to rest, and compassionate care from trained volunteers while caseworkers focus on finding the right placement.
Community members interested in supporting Lemonade Stand Weekend can visit a local stand, host their own fundraiser, or help spread the word throughout the weekend.
To find a lemonade stand near you, follow Isaiah 117 House Robertson County on Facebook or Instagram, or contact Misty at Robertsontn@isaiah117house.com.
Every glass poured helps ensure that local children entering foster care are met not with an office waiting room, but with the warmth, comfort, and dignity of a loving home.
