Turning Pain Into Purpose: Ken Duley’s Mission

When life takes an unexpected turn, it often leads us to our true calling. For Ken Duley, a deeply personal and painful chapter in 1990 set him on a path that would eventually benefit countless families in Middle Tennessee.

Ken and his wife Carla were expecting triplets when a serious car accident changed everything. Carla spent weeks in the hospital recovering from the crash, and the couple left the hospital with two babies instead of three. Despite having private insurance, they were left with staggering medical bills and more questions than answers. That experience opened Ken’s eyes to the urgent need for compassionate, knowledgeable help when it comes to insurance—and inspired him to become the advocate he wished they’d had.

Today, Ken Duley is a licensed insurance agent with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency. Since 2015, he has served the community from his storefront in White House, Tennessee. His mission is simple but powerful: help individuals, families, seniors, and small businesses find the insurance coverage that truly fits their needs. Whether it's Health, Medicare, or supplemental insurance, Ken believes everyone deserves to understand their options.

“Our goal is to guide people with honesty and integrity,” Ken says. “There’s so much confusion out there. We make it our job to simplify the process and help people feel confident in their choices.”

Ken’s work is guided by principles inspired by motivational speaker Zig Ziglar—especially the importance of service and education. He and his team are passionate about breaking down insurance myths, particularly the misconception that Marketplace insurance is "government insurance." They also work hard to support individuals with preexisting conditions, showing them that quality coverage is still within reach.

One key piece of advice Ken offers? “Always choose a local broker who’s familiar with different plans and companies. Insurance isn’t one-size-fits-all. You deserve someone who’s going to help you find the right fit.”

Beyond the office, Ken is deeply invested in the White House community. As active members of the White House Chamber of Commerce and a local BNI networking group, Ken and his team prioritize giving back. One of their most memorable moments? Participating in the White House Trail of Treats, where Ken and his staff dressed up as Ken and Barbies—and won first place for their display!

Family is the heart of Ken’s story. He and Carla have been married since 1984 and raised twins, Ian and Keah. Now proud grandparents to Keah’s three children, they continue to enjoy participating in local events and building roots in the place they love.

Ken Duley’s journey is a powerful reminder that even our hardest moments can be the start of something meaningful. Through his work, Ken offers more than just insurance—he offers understanding, guidance, and peace of mind.
