Residents of Sumner County and Robertson County, can mark their calendars for a special event aimed at putting their health front and center. On Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Walmart will host a Walmart Wellness Day, offering free health screenings and affordable immunizations to all attendees.

This initiative aims to equip families with the tools and resources necessary to prioritize their health during the upcoming summer season. From vacations to outdoor gatherings, ensuring good health is essential for enjoying all that summer has to offer.

The local Walmarts located in Hendersonville, Gallatin, White House, and Springfield will all be participating and are eagerly awaiting to meet community members at the event. 

There will be complimentary health screenings, including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and even vision screenings (select locations). Additionally, the pharmacy team will be on hand to administer a range of affordable immunizations, covering COVID-19, shingles, tetanus, measles, and more.

Kevin Host, Walmart's senior vice president of Pharmacy, underscores the importance of this event, stating, "Our pharmacies are pillars in the communities they serve, and Wellness Day creates wonderful opportunities to deepen those connections while also offering impactful services such as free screenings and affordable immunizations."

Additionally, Tabitha Tidwell, Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager for Tennessee, )shared her enthusiasm for the event, stating, "Walmart Wellness Days are always an exciting day for our stores and our communities. Our Walmart Wellness Day is a great way to offer free screenings to customers that may not have access or need to check their status.Our patient’s health and our community’s health is a top priority for Walmart.”

Since its inception in 2014, Walmart Wellness Days have provided over 5 million free health screenings nationwide, making a tangible impact on community health. Walmart hosts three Wellness Days every year along with immunization events in the fall.
