The Robertson County Historical Society is launching a new featured artist series called Canvas & Community with an opening reception honoring Springfield artist Jay Swafford.

The public is invited to attend the opening artist reception on May 31 from 2–4 p.m. at the museum.
Swafford, a Nashville-born artist who has exhibited work since the 1970s, has also played a major role in the regional arts community through gallery leadership and the founding of the “ART in the PARK” festival.
Visitors can experience the exhibit throughout the month of June.
