This week’s Stay Positive Student segment shines the spotlight on second grader Connor Thomas from Mrs. Jones’ class at HB Elementary.
Connor was chosen for the genuine kindness and compassion he shows to everyone around him.
When the school year began, several students found it difficult to transition back into the classroom routine after summer break—but Connor quickly noticed and stepped in to help.
Whether offering a comforting word or simply being a friend, his calm and caring nature made a big difference.
What’s even more impressive is that Connor didn’t stop there. He was often spotted lending a hand to Kindergarten students, helping them find their classrooms and navigate the hallways with confidence.
Connor’s gentle voice, warm heart, and quiet leadership make him a true example of kindness in action. He doesn’t seek recognition—he helps because it’s who he is. His heart for service and positive attitude brighten HB Elementary every single day.
Congratulations, Connor! Keep spreading those positive vibes!
Editor's Note: We're thrilled to bring back our "Student of the Month" category. Robertson and Sumner counties are filled with amazing students--bright examples of what it means to stay positive.
