Both Robertson and Sumner counties are home to free, family-friendly fall activities that bring neighbors together and celebrate the season. From bustling town squares to quiet wooded trails, you’ll find something for everyone in your crew.

Robertson County

Fall on the Farm (Orlinda)

  • On Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Bernard Farms hosts its annual Fall on the Farm festival. Families can enjoy live music, local food, seasonal activities, and a welcoming farm atmosphere that captures the best of autumn in Robertson County. 1st Fridays in Historic Downtown Springfield

  • The town square comes alive on the first Friday of each month with food trucks, artisans, and live music. Families can stroll through shops, enjoy a sweet treat, and listen to local performers without worrying about admission costs. It’s a relaxed evening that feels like a community block party. Annual Scair - Port Spooktacular 

  • On Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Springfield Robertson County Airport transforms into a high-flying Halloween celebration. Families can trick-or-treat along decorated hangars and planes, snap photos with Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman, enjoy live music, shop local vendors, and grab bites from a food truck. Learn more

17th Annual Pumpkin Patch Festival (Hendersonville)

  • On Saturday, October 11, 2025, families can enjoy the 17th Annual Pumpkin Patch Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Center Stage Plaza. Kids ages 9 and under receive a free pumpkin (while supplies last) and can join in pumpkin painting, inflatables, games, costume and dance contests, and a magic show. Live music, food vendors, and photo backdrops make it a festive day for the whole family.

  • Portland knows how to celebrate the season, and this festival proves it. Families can wander through pumpkin displays, watch local performers, and browse arts and crafts booths. Kids can try their hand at pumpkin carving while adults sip cider and shop from local vendors. It’s a true community tradition that welcomes everyone. The event takes place on October 18th, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
