HireUp Gallatin Connects Local Job Seekers with Career Opportunities and Employers

Remember your first summer job?

Maybe it was scooping ice cream, scouring countertops, or sitting poolside guarding young swimmers. It’s a rite of passage into adulthood–one that these tech-stuffed, AI-infused days can make downright daunting. For Gallatin residents, there’s a central hub for vocational information: HireUp Gallatin

This initiative, led by the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce, is a launching pad for every aspect of workforce development–even summer jobs and student internships. It’s a bridge between job seekers, employers, educators, and workforce partners across the community.

HireUp Gallatin is designed to do something simple but powerful: connect people to opportunity and businesses to talent, as Chamber President & CEO Kim Baker shared.

“Whether someone is looking for their first job, a new career path, additional training, or a chance to re-enter the workforce, our goal is to make those connections easier,” she adds. “At the same time, we’re helping local employers showcase opportunities and build the workforce they need to succeed. When we strengthen those connections, our entire community benefits.”

That community-first approach shows up in everything HireUp Gallatin does. Its simple format and user-friendly design are proof that people are at the focal point. Visitors click on the pathway they desire: Job Seeker, Employer, or Student, and are directed to information applicable to them.

The Events tab shows a community calendar with job fairs and career exploration events, while the Education tab connects prospects with career coaches and services. Indeed, HireUp Gallatin streamlines the workforce connection process.

According to Paul Vaughn, Event & Special Project Coordinator with the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce, interest in seasonal and part-time work is already picking up.

“We’ve already had students and families expressing interest in summer and part-time employment opportunities,” he noted. “HireUp Gallatin serves as a one-stop shop connecting local employers with education and workforce resources throughout our community.”

At a time when workforce needs and opportunity gaps are both top of mind for many communities, HireUp Gallatin is quietly doing the connective work that keeps local economies strong.

And in Gallatin, that connection isn’t just about jobs—it’s not just about scooping ice cream. It is a connection that builds a community, from a first summer job and beyond.
