Room to Grow: Tri-Star Storage Solutions Brings Local Roots to Springfield

Sometimes, building a business starts with something as simple as wanting more room to grow.

For Ashley Warner and her husband, John, that meant creating businesses that would serve the community they love while also letting them live in alignment with their priorities: God, Family, and Work.

Now, that vision has taken shape in Springfield with Tri-Star Storage Solutions, a locally owned self-storage facility designed to meet the needs of a growing Robertson County.

Birthed while Ashley was on maternity leave with the Warners’ second child, TSS is a business built to last, with family at its core. “We wanted to start a business that we would continue to love as we got older and then hopefully pass on to our kids,” Ashley shares.

The couple, who have backgrounds in construction and entrepreneurship, saw an opportunity to provide something the area needed. After conducting a feasibility study, they found a particular demand for climate-controlled storage.

“We felt like there was a need for self-storage in this area,” Ashley says. “There's a lot of growth coming this way.”

Tri-Star Storage opened with a soft launch this summer (they actually had their first customer before they turned the lights on) and officially celebrated with a grand opening at the end of July. The facility offers 450 units, including climate-controlled options, with an entirely online rental process.

Customers can scan a QR code at the gate, choose their unit, complete the process online, and receive immediate access.

But while Tri-Star Storage offers modern, self-service convenience, Ashley says that doesn't mean customers are on their own.

“About half of our customers have not been real tech-savvy so far,” she says. “So I've just met them up here, let them sign, and they're in.”

That blend of technology and personal service is part of what Ashley hopes sets TSS apart.

The facility's location along a four-lane highway also makes it easy to access, with plenty of room for trailers and larger vehicles.

And while Ashley originally expected most customers to be people moving or transitioning between homes, she has discovered that storage serves a much broader purpose.

Small businesses can use units for inventory and equipment without the expense of purchasing a commercial property. Homeowners can store belongings during a move. And one customer is even using units as garages for a collection of antique cars.

“Every person has a story,” Ashley says.

That may be the heart of Tri-Star Storage’s mission: providing a little extra space for whatever life—or business—looks like right now.

For Ashley and John, that means creating a business that is local, accessible, and ready to grow alongside the community.

“I have really enjoyed talking to the customers that I have met,” says Ashley with a smile. “When we see them, we run over to say hi.”

After all, Tri-Star Storage isn’t simply holding items. They are housing people’s stories.
