
Volunteer State Community College is pleased to announce the addition of new team members who will support the college’s continued growth and commitment to student success.
New Hires Include:
· Alison Webster, Chief of Staff of External Affairs, has served at Vol State for more than eight years in the Volunteer State College Foundation as Development Officer. In her new role, she leads key external engagement initiatives, working with the Vice President of Economic Development and Strategies to strengthen partnerships with businesses, civic organizations, and regional centers. She supports the college’s broader mission to advance workforce development and community growth across all campuses.
· Erin Birch, Senior Director of Advancement, oversees key aspects of the Volunteer State College Foundation’s fundraising efforts, cultivates relationships, and supports the college in other ways. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the non-profit arena. Most recently, as the CEO of United Way of Sumner County for eight years.


· Sam Brooks, Regional Director of the Upper Cumberland for the Cookeville and Livingston Centers. Sam oversees operations, strengthens regional partnerships, and supports strategic initiatives across Clay, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, and Smith counties. Before joining Vol State, Sam served as the Future Ready Supervisor for Putnam County Schools, where he led the district’s VITAL program since 2011.
· Chloe Espinoza, Recruiter/Admissions Advisor, serves as an Admissions Advisor/Recruiter in the Office of Admissions. In her role, she provides outreach and support to prospective students across Robertson, Macon, and Trousdale counties, guiding them through the admissions process and connecting them with programs and resources that support their educational goals.
